SC Johnson to acquire Sun Bum

SC Johnson has signed an agreement to acquire Sun Bum, a brand that manufactures personal care products.

The planned acquisition also includes the Baby Bum brand, which is known for sun protection and baby care products.

SC Johnson Chairman and CEO Fisk Johnson said: “The Sun Bum brand is a welcome addition to our portfolio of trusted products.”

Kate Spade signs licence agreement with Interparfums

Inter Parfums’ Paris-based subsidiary Interparfums SA signed an 11-year exclusive worldwide fragrance licence agreement with Kate Spade New York.

Interparfums will design, develop, manufacture and market new perfumes and fragrance-related products. It will start distributing these fragrances to department and speciality stores, duty-free shops, and Kate Spade New York retail stores from the last quarter of 2020, as part of the agreement.

Inter Parfums chairman and chief executive officer Jean Madar said: “We are extremely pleased to announce this new partnership. The Kate Spade brand’s youthful, colourful spirit and a touch of humour give it a unique and entirely new position within our portfolio which will allow us to develop very creative projects closely aligned with the image conveyed by Nicola Glass, its creative director.”

US-based hemp CBD wellness brand Prima has launched three products in body, beauty and supplement categories that are available at their new online shop at prima.co.

Located in Santa Monica, California, Prima’s founders are The Honest Company co-founder, author and entrepreneur Christopher Gavigan, health and cannabis activist Jessica Assaf and Honest alum Laurel Angelica Myers.
