Perfect Corp teams up with Sally Beauty to power virtual hair colour experience

Beauty tech solutions firm Perfect Corp has teamed up with specialty beauty retailer Sally Beauty Holdings to power latter’s custom ColorView virtual hair colour try-on experience that has been launched in stores and on the Sally Beauty app.

Perfect Corp provides virtual beauty app, called YouCam Makeup.

Sally Beauty’s ColorView kiosk is powered by Perfect Corp’s advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality technologies.

This partnership is aimed at enabling consumers to experiment with hair colour and makeup through virtual try-ons before they make a decision on purchasing the product.

Based on a consumer-centric strategy, the personalised ColorView AI experience enables to link customers with suggested product categories and shades based on their individual preferences. This provide shoppers more confidence in their purchasing decisions, claimed Perfect Corp.

The technology aggregates recommendations on hair colour and makeup products across several Sally Beauty brand offerings, including Ion, Arctic Fox, Wella, Ardell, and COL-LAB.

With the integration of the interactive AI try-on experience with the Sally Beauty mobile app, the brand aims to reach more number of beauty lovers through their phones.
