M&As this week: CavinKare, Henkel, and Evonik Industries

ChrysCapital Management Company has sold a 14% stake in CavinKare to C K Ranganathan.

C K Ranganathan is the founder of CavinKare, which is based in India. The company is a fast-moving consumer goods conglomerate.

The purchase consideration for the transaction was Rs5.25bn ($79.01m).

Henkel has reached an agreement to acquire Mexican company Nattura Laboratorios and associated companies in the US, Colombia, and Spain.

With the acquisitions, Henkel aims to expand in emerging and mature markets. Based in Germany, the company focuses on consumer goods.

Evonik Industries has reached an agreement to acquire Dr. Straetmans.

Based in Germany, Dr. Straetmans develops and markets alternative preservatives for the cosmetic industry. Evonik Industries is a chemical products manufacturer also based in Germany.

The purchase consideration for the transaction, which will be finalised in the first half of 2017, will be €100m ($106.79m)
