Topix introduces new anti-ageing serum Replenix RetinolForte

Topix Pharmaceuticals has introduced new retinol serum, Replenix RetinolForte, which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Developed to obtain smoother, firmer, and evenly toned skin, the new treatment serum features a patent-pending, time-released micropolymer delivery system that deposits retinol into the skin. This delivery system is designed to ensure users receive the full dosage without the irritation commonly associated with a retinoid.

Topix Pharmaceuticals' president and chief executive officer (CEO) Burt Shaffer said: "The efficacy of retinol at any treatment strength is critically dependent on an effective delivery system.

"Working with the latest technologies available, our team has developed an efficient retinol treatment with results more powerful than ever before."

The delivery system is designed to stabilise the retinol to retain its potency and conserve it from oxidation while on the skin. Its time-released feature is said to create a reservoir that continuously bathes the skin and minimises irritation.

The new serum addresses concerns such as dark spots, fine lines, crow's feet, lost elasticity, and uneven skin texture, with all-trans-retinol to help to enhance cell turnover and healthy collagen production.

The 90% green tea polyphenols and caffeine present in the formulation act as antioxidants to moisturise and maintain the skin barrier.

A six-week clinical study conducted to evaluate the serum showed that 83% of patients experienced improvement in skin tone evenness, 91% in fine lines, and 100% in facial clarity/radiance.

The Replenix RetinolForte comes in six strengths for different skin types and step up regimens.
