Dermaflash secures equity investment from Guthy-Renker Ventures

Guthy-Renker Ventures has invested in skincare device maker Dermaflash, which is set to release an infomercial in collaboration with Guthy-Renker to demonstrate a new exfoliating device and other related products.

The new hand-held, at-home device is designed to provide exfoliation and eliminate peach fuzz from the face to allow better skincare and makeup application.

Dermaflash's chief executive officer (CEO) and founder Dara Levy said: "My passion is empowering women of all ages and ethnicities to attain flawless, camera ready skin. I am so proud to have built a company by women for women.

The direct response distribution channel for the dermaflash device will be created and managed by Guthy-Renker. The device is currently available at Dermaflash.com and at select retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, QVC, Sephora, Ulta, Macys, and Dermstore.com.

The dermaflash device employs subtle sonic vibration in combination with the firm's Edge to eliminate dead skin cells, built-up debris and unwanted vellus hair simultaneously.
