Massage Envy to expand with new franchises and services

US-based massage and skincare provider Massage Envy is set to expand its domestic and international business with new franchises and total bodycare services.

The firm is also planning to remodel 700 of its existing locations.

The new bodycare services will include customised massages and facials, microdermabrasion, stretch therapy, magnetic taping, and chemical peels.

With its first international location having opened in May last year in Australia, Massage Envy is currently recruiting franchisees to open clinics in both international territories and the US.

Massage Envy's international sales and global senior vice-president Lee Knowlton said: “Franchisees like the idea that they don’t have to worry on a day-to-day basis if customers will walk through their doors.

“In essence, with our membership model, they can predict their business better and more easily than other concepts.

“The objective of the refreshed look and total bodycare package is to increase the number of services we offer and raise our per-location membership average even more.”

Massage Envy's president and chief executive officer (CEO) Joe Magnacca said: "Our membership model transformed the massage and skincare industry. We are continuing to evolve our brand on all fronts to remain the leader and best serve health-minded consumers here and around the world.”
