Solomomo and Biometrix to expand Skin Wand to home beauty markets

Beauty and skincare firm Solomomo has entered a marketing and development agreement with contract research organisation Biometrix to clinically study its skincare device Solomomo Skin Wand.

With the new partnership, Solomomo intends to expand the existing version of its device to the professional medical and home beauty markets.

Designed for skincare analysis, the device features lights and magnification to enable closer look of the skin. It is attached to a 7" touchscreen for live video and creates a personal map by guiding the user to specific spots on the face.

Solomomo's co-chief executive officer (CEO) Eric Engstrom said: “Our partnership with Biometrix, and its market dominance in the medical and beauty communities, accelerates our ability to put a Skin Wand in every bathroom, spa, medi-spa, and dermatologist office around the world.

“Solomomo will now have broader access into both leading-edge skincare research and the professional market.”

Biometrix will provide a professional version of the Solomomo Skin Wand to its clients. The users can take the device home when participating in new product trials and benchmarking studies.

Images generated by the Skin Wand are analysed in the cloud, resulting in a report, which can be used to track skin health.
