Deals and M&As this week: OBoticario, Inglot Cosmetics, Dabur

OBoticario has agreed to create a development plan with Millennial Capital to establish its presence in the UAE market.

Based in Brazil, OBoticario is a cosmetics, fragrances and skincare company.

OBoticario will provide Millennial Capital with brand rights for a five-year period, under the partnership.

Millennial Capital aims to launch five stores and collaborate with e-commerce portals, department stores and pharmacies.

Millennial Capital also intends to broaden OBoticario’s presence across Saudi Arabia by the end of 2019.

OBoticario offers Malbec, Floratta and Lily brands at 4,070 stores in Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, Bolivia, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Japan.

Inglot Cosmetics has entered an agreement with actress Jennifer Lopez to unveil a limited-edition 70-piece makeup collection.

Based in Poland, Inglot Cosmetics is engaged in the manufacturing and retailing of colour cosmetics.

The new product line features an illuminator, a bronzer, a gloss, mascara, powders, eyeshadows, eyelashes and lipsticks.

Customers can access the new line in Inglot’s high street stores, online and select Macy’s outlets.

Dabur has completed acquisitions of D&A Cosmetics Proprietary and Atlanta Body & Health Products Proprietary for Rs50m ($4.14m).

Based in India, Dabur is a consumer goods company engaged in the production and distribution of Ayurveda and natural healthcare products.

In 2017, Dabur acquired the CTL group’s personal, haircare and creams businesses for Rs100m ($1.5m).

This latest acquisition will enable Dabur to fortify its international business accounts and overseas portfolio. The acquired firms will operate as subsidiaries of Dabur India.

China Jianyin Investment and Tamar Alliance have entered an agreement to acquire Nature’s Care Manufacture for A$800m ($619.25m).

Based in Australia, Nature’s Care is engaged in the production and distribution of health food supplements.

The deal is expected to be closed on 30 June 2018.
