SkinCeuticals launches new corrective serum Discolouration Defense

US-based SkinCeuticals has launched Discoloration Defense, a new corrective serum designed to treat multiple stages of skin discolouration.

The serum helps to treat brown patches, post-acne marks and skin discolouration caused due to ultraviolet (UV) exposure, consumption of drugs and medical treatments.

It contains 3% Tranexamic acid, 5% Niacinamide, 5% HEPES for cell circulation and 1% Kojic Acid to improve skin brightness.

The clinical results of a 12-week study on the product reported an average reduction in brown patches by 60%, with 59% reductions in discolouration, 81% in post-acne marks and a 59% improvement in skin tone.

Discoloration Defense can be used in combination with an antioxidant, broad-spectrum ultraviolet A (UVA) / ultraviolet B (UVB) sunscreen and other SkinCeuticals’ moisturisers to address anti-ageing issues.

The product is available online and at select dermatologist offices across the US.
