M&As this week: Crown Laboratories, MidOcean Partners, Colgate-Palmolive

Crown Laboratories has acquired Vita Liberata for an undisclosed sum.

Based in the UK, Vita Liberata offers tanning and skincare products.

The acquisition is expected to help Crown Laboratories expand its product portfolio and strengthen its Blue Lizard sunscreen brand.

Centerview Partners was the financial advisor to Crown Laboratories, while Sage Group was the financial advisor to Vita Liberata for the transaction.

Lowenstein Sandler and A&L Goodbody was the legal advisor to Crown Laboratories, while Tughans Solicitors was the legal advisor to Vita Liberata. 

Crown Laboratories is a portfolio company of Hildred Capital Partner.

MidOcean Partners has purchased BH Cosmetics with the aim of growing and expanding its business.

Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in the US.

The founders of BH Cosmetics will retain ownership stakes in the firm, following the transaction.

Kirkland & Ellis is the legal advisor to MidOcean, while Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton are the legal advisors to BH Cosmetics for the transaction.

The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Colgate-Palmolive Company has acquired Physician’s Care Alliance Skin for an undisclosed sum, with the intention of expanding its personal care product portfolio.

Financo and Houlihan Lokey are the advisors to PCA Skin for the transaction.

The acquisition was made from Norwest Venture Partners, a growth equity and venture investment firm based in the US.
