Encore sells MyChelle Natural Skin Care to French Transit

US-based private equity investment firm Encore Consumer Capital has sold MyChelle Natural Skin Care to marketer and distributor French Transit.

With a portfolio currently including Crystal deodorant and Luster Premium White, French Transit sells products in the food and drug markets worldwide.

MyChelle is the second of Encore’s beauty portfolios to be sold after Tarte was acquired by KOSÉ Corporation in 2014.

Natural Skin Care products are sold under the MyChelle brand name through the natural retail and direct-to-consumer channels. Its products are developed to provide active dermatological ingredients with clean formulations.

Encore Consumer Capital managing director Scott Sellers said: “It has been a great pleasure for us at Encore to have partnered with the talented team at MyChelle.

“They have expanded the MyChelle brand beyond the natural channel and have positioned the brand for continued growth.”

Threadstone Advisors, a business management consultant in New York, has provided strategic and financial advisory services to MyChelle and law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck served as its legal counsel.
