Madison Reed appoints new vice–president for Technical Design team

US-based hair colour brand Madison Reed has appointed David Stanko as vice-president of its technical design and education team.

The appointment is expected to strengthen the company’s expansion strategy. In October this year, Madison Reed raised $25m venture capital funding led by Comcast Ventures to finance the expansion of Madison Reed Color Bars that are currently located in New York City and San Francisco.

The company has plans to open Madison Reed Color Bars in 25 locations by the end of 2019.

In his new role, Stanko will work with the company’s manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.

He will also direct the training of Madison Reed’s Color Crew, a team of certified colourists who provide colour services at Madison Reed Color Bars and consult with clients.

Madison Reed CEO and founder Amy Errett said: “It is a huge honour to have an educator of David’s calibre join us full-time. He will ensure our clients continue to have a phenomenal, prestige experience while we quickly grow the company.”

Prior to his new role, Stanko served as a master colourist and brand ambassador for Redken 5th Avenue NYC, a division of L’Oreal.

Stanko worked at Redken for more than 21 years and played a key role in its global product launches, as well as educating and inspiring hair colour professionals around the world.
