Estée Lauder offers Google-powered beauty experience

Estée Lauder has partnered with Google to offer an personalised beauty solutions and techniques through the voice-activated Google Assistant on Google Home.

The firms will initially launch the Estée Lauder Nighttime Expert app to suggest skincare routines following a set of questions.

Accessible on Google Home from next month, the app provides users with an option to learn skincare application techniques.

Estée Lauder global brand president Stephane de La Faverie said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Google to be at the forefront of creating personalised consumer beauty experiences via the emerging world of voice activation.

“Combining our beauty expertise with Google’s technology allows us to build on our digital evolution and offer the latest innovation to further enhance our consumer experience.”

Early next year, the Estée Lauder plans to introduce additional digital beauty experiences through the Google Assistant on mobile, in advertisements on the Google Display Network, and on its website.

Estée Lauder Global Consumer Engagement vice-president Tricia Nichols said: “Through our collaboration with Google, we are expanding our omnichannel efforts to go beyond stores and online to in-home, at the moment.”
