Z&S partners with Salvona Technologies to expand into US cosmetics market

Cosmetics manufacturer Zschimmer & Schwarz’s (Z&S) has teamed up with Salvona Technologies, a US-based developer of encapsulation and customised cosmetic topical solutions, to represent and expand its skin and hair speciality product line in the US market.

Both the firms have entered into a strategic partnership in a bid to extend each other’s product portfolios, while also aiming to augment their position and services in the US and European cosmetic markets.

Germany-based Zschimmer & Schwarz, which manufactures chemical auxiliaries for skin and hair care products, currently has a facility in Atlanta, Georgia, and is looking to expand its presence further in the US market.

Recently, the firm has bought a minor stake in Salvona as it felt the latter’s profile of contacts and knowledge of the US cosmetics market could help it in its expansion plans, which it would repay by helping build Salvona’s presence in the European market.

Zchimmer & Schwarz spokesperson Martin Haberl said the firm’s new partnership fits with the growth strategy of the company and its intent to diversify and expand its reach in the US.

The new partnership is also expected to bring further investment into Salvona’s nanotechnology focused GMP manufacturing capacities and delivery systems to meet the growing demand of effective and safe dermatological topical solutions.

According to a company representative from Salvona, with the new partnership the firm is hoping to use its expertise to help Z&S in the coming years on the US market.
