L’Oréal joins hands with Al Naghi Group for new subsidiary in Saudi Arabia

Cosmetics manufacturer L’Oréal has teamed up with Al Naghi Group, a Saudi Arabia-based consumer goods and pharmaceutical products manufacturer, and created L’Oréal KSA, a new subsidiary based on a joint venture in order to reinforce its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Since 1982, L’Oréal has had its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while in 2000, the firm appointed Al Naghi Group as its sole distributor for its Consumer Products, Active Cosmetics and Professional Products Divisions.

According to the firm, the new subsidiary will manage its portfolio of brands including L’Oréal Professional, Kerastase, L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline New York, Vichy, among others.

The firm’s new subsidiary aims to focus on implementing best practices on developing the local market, increasing consumer awareness to understand the Saudi woman’s needs better, making more available Group’s products to more Saudi consumers and with a commitment to train, educated and developing local talent within the L’Oréal KSA team.

L’Oréal said the joint venture between the companies will have shared values, as both contribute individual expertise to the partnership, enabling it to improve its positions in the region.

Naghi Group chairman Sheikh Mohamed Yusuf said the firm’s teaming up with L’Oréal for more than ten years has made availability of the global brands to Saudi consumers across the Kingdom.

"We are very proud to be associated with such an ethical, consumer and community enabling Group and look forward to build the business further," Yusuf added.

L’Oréal Group is a France based cosmetics manufacturer whose portfolio includes hair care, skin care, sun protection, make-up and perfumes.

The company is active in the dermatological, tissue engineering and pharmaceutical fields and also a nanotechnology patent-holder in the US.
