Evocutis wins ten new contracts to supply laboratory, clinical evaluations

Dermatology firm Evocutis has secured ten new contracts to supply its advanced laboratory and clinical evaluations in skincare products to the health and cosmetic manufacturers.

The company said the contracts are worth a total of £280,000 including early direct sales of its LabSkin.

The contracts, ranging between £9,000 and £88,000, have been signed with prominent global consumer healthcare companies, and are expected to be delivered over a two to six months period.

The company will deliver the products to multiple territories including the US, UK, and Europe, where the contracted firms are operating in consumer health, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals bussinesses.

Evocutis chief executive officer Gwyn Humphreys said gaining of new contacts will show positive results in terms of future uptake of LabSkin used by companies at their own laboratories.

"This validates our strategy of selling the product directly, as well as continuing to provide a full service offering to clients who require it," Humphreys added.

"The significant combined contract value means that Evocutis is on course to meet management expectations and strengthens the company’s position in its ongoing search for a strategic partner, as announced in December."

Evocutis is a UK-based dermatology firm focused on skin science, whose operations include contract research service for skin researchers and development of skin care products and ingredients.

The firm’s new product, LabSkin, is a 3D cell culture model, which mimics living skin tissue, that comprises both dermal and epidermal layers.

The product offers a platform for non-animal cosmetic testing, clinical microbiological experimentation and in vitro skin research.
