Feminine hygiene market to continue growth momentum in Australia: Report

Market value of all the categories of the industry comprising internal cleansers & sprays, pantiliners 7 shields, sanitary pads, tampons, and women’s disposable razors 7 blades are slated to post increase in 2016 over their 2011 figures.

Sanitary pads segment has been and is expected to maintain the lead role in the industry with major share of around 35%.

However, the segment is seen to be losing its share to other segments, observed Canadean. The segment, which held 37% share in 2006 slipped to 35% in 2011 and in 2016.

Women’s disposable razors, which is second in the share, has been consistent throughout the ten-year review period of the report.

The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of Australia’s feminine hygiene market too is set to witness significant rise in the forecast period of Canadean survey.

The CAGR during 2011-16 is likely to be at 2.84%, edging out the 2.58% that the industry posted during previous five-year period starting 2006.
