Estée Lauder acquires RODIN olio lusso

US based Estée Lauder Companies has acquired the luxury skin care brand RODIN olio lusso, founded by the iconic New York stylist Linda Rodin.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

RODIN olio lusso, established in 2007, offers a selective line of premium, sensorial products for use by consumers from different age groups and skin types.

Estée Lauder Companies president and CEO Fabrizio Freda said: "With its luxurious product line and strong creative point of view, we believe it has the potential to be a high-growth global skin care brand that strategically enhances our portfolio."

Currently, the brand sold in select high-end, trend-setting boutiques and specialty-retail channels, including Barney’s, Colette and Liberty.

The major product of the RODIN olio lusso is the Luxury Face Oil, a combination of eleven essential oils derived from flowers and botanicals and the oil is also used in a range of other products also.

Estée Lauder Companies offers products including skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care across 150 countries under various brand names.
