Ranir strikes big in France by acquiring Oralys Dental

Private label Ranir announced the acquisition of one of France’s largest oral and personal care providers, Oralys Dental, in an undisclosed deal, making it France’s largest private label oral care provider.

Based in Beauvais, France, Oralys focusses on product design, quality and category management.

Ranir’s newest acquisition will bring it into direct contact with international companies. This, in turn, will help increase its global footprint by pushing its already developed business in Western and Northern Europe into the southern region, such as Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

Ranir CEO Christine Henisee stated: "The addition of Oralys Dental is another significant step in our international strategy aimed at partnering with key retailers to grow both geographically and in our product assortment. Oralys is the market share leader in France, giving us a strong platform for expanding Ranir into the Southern European Countries and adding to our momentum in the North and Western regions in Europe with the ultimate goal of becoming the leader in oral care products in the EU."

Oralys Dental will continue operating as a separate company under the Oralys brand.

Executive vice-president of Ranir International and managing director Europe, Gijsbert Dezaire, and the existing Oralys team will be leading the company.

Continuing to manage the operations will be Oralys founder and southern European sales director Eric Lassau.
