Hair colour specialist eSalon opens online service in UK

American hair colour maker eSalon has launched online services in the UK to market its products throughout Europe.

ESalon’s new customer service office in London will enable shipment of its hair colour products and related services to Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden.

Founded in 2010, eSalon claims to provide customer-specific services with its products delivered to homes.

The colour bottles are made to order based on the customer’s hair profile and desired end result.

ESalon’s customer service team is said to comprise licensed colorists, who guide users through the process of colouring.

Customers are also offered tools and hair care products designed to assist in the application and maintenance of hair colour.

The firm claims to have produced more than 80,000 unique hair colour formulations and shipped over one million colour applications.

ESalon co-founder and CEO Francisco Gimenez said: "We’ve turned the colour market on its head, by delivering custom formulated salon-quality colour for less than they would tip a colourist. We are excited about our continued success, confirmation of our vision and expansion overseas."

The firm plans to expand its footprint to Canada.

ESalon colour director Estelle Baumhauer said: "It’s exciting for me to make great professional color available to all women, not just to women of means – and for this opportunity to be extended to women in Canada, the UK and across Europe."
