Lonza enters into commercial collaboration with Lamberti

New Jersey-based consumer care firm Lonza has entered into a long-term commercial collaboration with Italy-based chemical company Lamberti.

The company said that the customers will benefit from its existing portfolio with complementary technologies, particularly natural hair-conditioning polymers such as Idilli-Guar, a polymer with strong hair conditioning properties.

Lonza head of consumer care and strategy officer Sven Abend said: "Our new commercial collaboration with Lamberti gives us products and technologies that expand our ability to serve pressing consumer needs in South America, particularly in the hair-care market.

"Brazil, for example, where Lonza has manufacturing, R&D and office facilities in Sao Paolo, Igarassu and Salto, has the second highest demand in South America for general hair-care products and is number one in conditioner demand."

Lamberti general manager Roberto Porro said: "Together, we have an unbeatable portfolio to serve even the most- demanding localized needs in South America, from organic and botanically based skin care ingredients to gentle but effective hair-conditioning systems."

Lonza Consumer Care claims to be the world’s leading supplier of active anti-dandruff agents for shampoos, specifically Zinc Omadine, and also has a range of other hair and skincare products, which includes biotech-based active ingredients, natural and organic preservatives, proteins, emollients and delivery systems.
