Univar extends distribution agreement with Dow Chemical to include France

Chemical distributor Univar has extended its distribution agreement in the personal care ingredients segment with The Dow Chemical to include France.

With the agreement, Univar France will have the rights to market and sell the complete range of Dow's Amerchol personal care specialty ingredients in the country. Univar will also have authority to distribute UCARE, SOFTCAT and EcoSmooth Conditioning Polymers, UCON Fluids, POLYOX Sensory Enhancers, CELLOSIZE Thickeners, METHOCEL Functional Polymers, WALOCEL CRT Thickeners, ETHOCEL Oil Thickeners and Film Formers, and SOLTERRA SPF Boosters.

Univar EMEA personal care industry director Matthew Ottaway said: "The personal care market is one of Univar's strategic global markets, and the expansion of our partnership with Dow Personal Care Solutions is an important development for our customers in France.

"Dow's innovative personal care ingredients are a strong complement to our existing portfolio of basic chemicals and speciality products.
