Estée Lauder makes new appointments

The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has made two key strategic appointments to expand the capabilities in consumer engagement and digital.

Damon Burrell has been appointed as senior vice-president for consumer engagement and he will report to corporate marketing executive vice-president Georgia Garinois-Melenikiotou.

Burrel has more than two decades of experience across a wide range of marketing capabilities including consumer engagement, digital/social media, consumer relationship management, marketing strategy and marketing operations.

In his new role, Burrel will be responsible for continuing to advance the company’s consumer engagement capabilities.

Prior to this, Burrel served as senior vice-president at Viacom and also led the marketing for Nickelodeon.

Garinois-Melenikiotou said: "We are deeply committed to growing the company’s capabilities in digital and driving consumer engagement to ensure our continued industry leadership in today’s rapidly changing landscape.

"Damon’s proven background in developing global digital strategies and building unique, forward-thinking consumer experiences will help the Company continue to grow in these highly strategic areas."

Anna Klein will join as the vice-president for corporate affairs. Klien will report to global communications executive vice president Alexandra C Trower.
