Tom’s of Maine launches new skincare products for babies

US-based personal care products manufacturer Tom’s of Maine has launched two natural skincare products for babies.

The new sunscreen and diaper cream are part of the company’s baby bath and skincare portfolio and have been created with purposeful formulas.

The new product line includes Tom’s of Maine Baby Sunscreen, which has broad spectrum SPF 30 through zinc oxide and ensures baby has safe protection against warm summer rays. It is water-resistant for up to 80 minutes.

Tom’s of Maine’s fragrance-free Baby Diaper Cream formula has six ingredients and includes zinc oxide, sunflower seed oil and vitamin E. It seals out wetness to help treat and prevent diaper rash.

Another product that is part of the new line includes the Tom’s of Maine Baby Shampoo & Wash which is safe for delicate skin and has no artificial ingredients.

Tom’s of Maine Baby Moisturizing Lotion has naturally derived, purposeful ingredients, including shea butter and aloe and helps moisturise baby’s skin.

Also available is Tom’s of Maine Toddler Training Toothpaste for ages three months and more and is fluoride-free with no artificial flavours, no artificial sweeteners such as saccharin.

It is also free from artificial dyes and has no propylene glycol.

Tom’s of Maine brand manager Liz Eddy said: "Having a baby really inspires many new parents to take their healthy lifestyle to a new level.

"Parents can be overwhelmed with the options for baby bath and skin care, which makes it so important to know what’s inside. In some cases, our baby products have half the number of ingredients found in other brands."
