Xyrena launches fragrances in videotape packaging

Los Angeles-based fragrance firm Xyrena has released extrait de parfum’s in collectible, retro video home system (VHS) keepsake cases.

Branded as XHS by the company, these cases are claimed to be unique and attractive, while the videotape packaging supports the company’s socially responsible sustainability mission, and is expected to help Xyrena in strengthening its position as a fun and luxury brand.

XHS packaging combines the original and retrofitted moulds used by major studios such as Fox and Disney.

Xyrena has introduced four fragrances in the XHS format, namely Pool Boy, Cinemaniac, Basic Bitch, and Hellanut.

These are packed in a black clamshell case that resembles a video cassette with artwork over it.

The company also launched its Nutella fragrance, Hellanut.

For the campaign, it appointed transgender model and entertainer TS Madison to star in a NSFW web spot, which satires mainstream luxury advertising.
