Unilever relaunches Geisha soap in Ghana

Unilever has re-introduced its Geisha soap with a new formula in Ghana. 

Geisha comes in several fragrances, including aloe vera and honey, shea butter and honey, coconut milk and honey, rose and honey and lemon honey, reported Globalcosmeticsnews.com.

The soap has been reformulated with honey and other natural extracts that enables the soap to stay longer and not melt easily in water.

Unilever Ghana personal care manager Esther Fobri was quoted by Myjoyonline.com as saying: “Our long-lasting promise builds on our affordability by giving the Ghanaian mothers more for their limited resources.”

Fobri also added that the soap was reformulated after finding out what their consumers required.

“We conduct research in every market we serve. We conduct research both in respect of the needs of our customers and also on the various ingredients that can be used to meet these needs,” she added.

At the re-launch, Ghana’s Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Welfare Dela Sowah was quoted by Ghananewsagency.org as saying: “I have no doubt that the new Geisha will meet the needs of Ghanaian consumers and also stimulate more of such innovations from Unilever in the coming years since there is nothing better than a long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationship.”
