Dabur to launch Jaquline USA beauty brand in India

Dabur has plans to bring its US make-up and beauty brand Jaquline USA to NewU outlets across India.

NewU retail venture is owned by H&B Stores, which is a unit of Dabur. H&B Stores operates around 70 outlets in India.

The range of products to be initially launched include nailcare and styling products. So far, Jaquline USA's products have only been sold in the US. It became a Dabur brand when the Indian company acquired Fem Care Pharma in 2008.

The products to be sold at NewU retail outlets would be priced at around Rs150.

Dabur was quoted by Livemint.com as stating: “Jaquline USA, exclusively available at NewU outlets across the country, will feature a range of make-up and beauty products specially tailored for the modern Indian woman.” 

NewU marketing head Vinni Pannu was quoted by the website as saying: “The brand’s first collection will include a range of affordable high-performing nailcare and styling products, as well as a line of top-quality gel finish nail enamels in both matte and glossy shades.”

In addition to beauty products, NewU sells health foods and ayurvedic products under Dabur’s own private labels. NewU also sells its products online.
