Regis continues transition to franchised model with restructuring measures

American hair salons operator Regis completed additional restructuring actions to improve its financial performance, following its ongoing transformation to a fully franchised business model.

Regis noted that the transition has allowed it to take further steps to eliminate administrative costs and personnel.

These additional restructuring actions are anticipated to deliver around $6m of annualised general and administrative expense savings to the company.

Amorepacific debuts luxury beauty brand Sulwhasoo in India

South Korea-based beauty company Amorepacific Group launched its signature luxury brand Sulwhasoo in India, through omnichannel beauty retailer Nykaa.

The beauty company introduced its flagship product First Care Activating Serum, along with its signature Concentrated Ginseng Renewing line and Essential line in the Indian market.

It intends to cover pan-India with the online launch of the brand.

Shinsegae International to acquire skincare brand Swiss Perfection

Shinsegae International, the fashion unit of South Korean conglomerate Shinsegae Group, has reportedly signed an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in the skincare brand Swiss Perfection.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by either company.

Established in 1998, Swiss Perfection has been supplying skincare products to spa facilities, as well as high-end hotels and personal clinics in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Austria’s Croma expands skincare product portfolio

Austrian firm Croma-Pharma (Croma) expanded its skincare product portfolio with the launch of the highly concentrated liquid skin mask.

Called pure HA, the new liquid skin mask contains 1.8% of hyaluronic acid to smooth, moisturise and revitalise the skin.

It will also boost the skin’s natural hydration, the company claims.

Skincare company Codex Beauty earns first two patents in US

Skincare brand Codex Beauty announced the issuance of the first two patents for two different ingredient technologies.

The first patent is for BiaComplex, which is a mixture of macerated oil infusions of Calendula officinalis, Helichrysum italicum and Symphytum officinale.

It is blended with water infusions of Viola tricolor and Althea officinalis for a nourishing and hydrating formula.
