Ozark Brands acquires bath products maker Heartland Fragrance

Ozark Brands has bought Heartland Fragrance, a maker of bath products including handmade soaps, Epsom salts, hand sanitizer and more, for undisclosed amount.

This acquisition is part of Ozark’s strategy to expand through product development, new brand launches and acquisitions.

The Heartland Fragrance has been handcrafting products with natural ingredients since 1987.

Ozark Brands plans to bring the Heartland Fragrance brand alongside McCall’s Candles, thereby expanding its product set and opening more distribution channels.

Given that the two brands have a focus on handmade, ‘Made in the USA’ tag for products, Ozark Brands believes that the two brands well suited for production and distribution out of its manufacturing facility in Tipton, Missouri.

Ozark Brands CEO Ken Wilmes said: “Both brands appeal to consumers looking for high-quality products, handcrafted here in the United States that offer a unique design. With their natural bath products, including their popular toy soaps, the addition of Heartland Fragrance to the Ozark Brands family further reinforces our desire to provide consumers with unique and quality products.”

Products of Heartland Fragrance are available through its online store, boutique-style retailers and mass merchants including TJX Companies, Ross Stores, and Bed Bath & Beyond.

Ozark Brands chief operating officer Paul Emig said: “We are looking forward to leveraging established distribution channels for both brands to increase the Ozark Brands’ footprint. We are fiercely proud of our products and their quality. The team is eager to expose consumers to both brands because we are confident they will enjoy them immensely.”

A privately owned consumer packaging company, Ozark Brands focuses on home goods with manufacturing and distribution in central Missouri.

Last month, skin and hair care products maker Naples Soap Company signed a distribution agreement to sell its bath bombs through stores and online platform of US department store chain Dillard’s.
